By Adam Thomson in Mexico City Carlos Slim, the Mexican billionaire
and the world's richest individual, has just become even richer: from
July to September alone, his personal fortune increased $8.1bn to US
$67.4bn, according to Sentido Común, a respected online business
publication.

The increase, equivalent to US$3.7m every hour during the last three
months, makes his personal fortune at least US$13bn greater than that
of Bill Gates, according to the latest calculation.

Oh, goody goody. I am reminded of the Beatles song, "It's all too
much." The lyrics stated: "All the world is your birthday cake, take
a piece, but not too much." Carlos Slime is an anachronism and a
disgrace to the human race in all his piggy-ness. The fact that you
worship such an individual makes you

If the drug cartels could kidnap his fat ass, maybe things would ease
up there.

I'd guess that's why Carlos Slime bought a Manhattan penthouse
apartment. Maybe, like John Lennon, he'll find that all his money
can't buy him protection from some assassin.
