LITTLEROCK -- An elementary school teacher accused of molesting a dozen
children is facing criminal charges.
35-year-old Gilberto Roca has been charged with four felony counts of lewd
acts with a child and seven related misdemeanor counts, according to
sheriff's Sgt. Brian Hudson.
Detectives from the sheriff's Special Victims Bureau began an
investigation of Gilberto Roca after 12 elementary school age children
alleged they had been victimized by the teacher.
Roca allegedly made incriminating statements during an interview which led
to his arrest last Friday, according to sheriff's investigators.
The District Attorney's office filed charges against Roca on Monday.
Roca is being held on $500,000 bail.
