MEXICO CITY Feb 10 (Reuters) - Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim said he
is eyeing Colombia's oil industry, as the world's richest man boosts
infrastructure investments outside his home country.
"We are looking at opportunities in other countries that look
interesting to us. In Colombia we know that there has been a lot of
investment. The government is actively looking at the development of
the oil industry and is promoting other investments," Slim said in an
interview with Bloomberg television aired on Thursday.

Teoricamnete Colombia debe tener mucho petroleo. Pero ese petroleo se
escondne muy bien, nadie lo ha encontrado.

P.S. En los Llanos Orientales cuando llueve se ven los visos tornasolados
que deja el petroleo flotando sobre el agua.

Colombia should let Carlos Slim invest in the oil infrastructure and
then nationalize the industry immediately afterward so as to let the
Colombian people benefit from their own oil rather than help Mexico's
riches man become even richer.

I'm not a supporter of Hugo Chavez, and neither am I supporter of a pig
like Carlos Slim who amasses billions of dollars for himself rather than
sharing the wealth he accumulates with the citizens of the countries he
exploits. Whether the wealth comes from mining gold or pumping oil,
that wealth should go to build schools, universities, and new factories
in Latin America rather than to make one man obscenely rich, IMHO.
