Politicians north of the border aren't the only ones struggling with
gaffes this campaign season.

Mexico's leading presidential contender floundered in confusion for
about four minutes when the audience at a book fair asked him to name
three books that had influenced him. He was able to correctly name
only one he has read "parts of:" the Bible.

Must everyone be influenced by 3 books? I have read hundreds, maybe
thousands of books, but could not, off the cuff, tell you 3 I was
influenced by. I could tell you many that I enjoyed and learned
something from, but not three that I was necessarily influenced by. I
think it's a stupid question, similar to asking, "Who is your favorite
founding father?" Must you have one?
