Guadalajara, Mexico, Dec 15, 2010 / 01:53 pm (CNA).- Cardinal Juan
Sandoval Iniguez, Archbishop of Guadalajara, Mexico recently
highlighted the importance of marriage, calling it “a service to life,
to love, to humanity, but above all, a service to God,” who “created
man and woman to cooperate in creation, to transmit life and to care
for it.”

For this reason, he said, it is important that “families always pray,
because God can do much more than any of us and He can overcome all
those who wish to destroy” the family.

Then why can't Catholic priests get married?
Because they would divert them some from their primary mission: to raise
money for the Vatican and to make sure their Mexican flock breeds like
flies.
