Understand Cinco de Mayo is only a footnote in actual Mexican history
and not celebrated at all. Here in the USA, it is a big to do and is
accepted time for families and others to celebrate..... party time.

It's not too difficult to see where your loyalties lie. Your post is
insensitive to French Americans.

French-American biggest influence is on the music in my opinion.
Cajun and Zydeco music blows me away.. Probably the best folk music
of any ethnocentric music in North america is definitely Cajun
Zydeco. Mainly French influenced and mixed with Caribbean and Blue.
The reason I'm talking about this is because
Mexican folk music borrow ( I said steal) from French and converted
into their
style which I totally reject Mexican style. Mexican folk music is so
dissonant.
Mexican accordion music is the worst kind of accordion music in my
opinion.

And other hating Mexican music is traveler right Bill Bryson. Here
is my previous
post on:

"Aye ya ya" is the main sound and tune in every Mexican music. The
worst goddamn music ever I heard in my life ...Bill Bryson my
favorite travel writer said "this is the awful sound' travelling all
over US never heard of such awful sound. Once Bill in New Mexico,
turned radio on, he heard Mexican music in every damn station.
Mexicans are everywhere in New Mexico. He went to city and got hungry
trying to find restaurant and ended up in Mexican restaurant. Before
he ordered to eat, he was faced with live Mexican music. He had no
choice sitting there listening to the live Mexican sound "Aye ya ya"
"Aye ya ya". He actually realized something he did not got it before:
pride of the Mexican music. The music is the expression of the pride
Mexican culture. The pride of Mexican holding two hand and raise "Aye
ya ya". He said he never felt anything spark just bunch of Mexicans
sang a song only appreciated by them. It was sound for them. These
Mexicans are so proud ... " What would Mexicans think of other who
hear their music?" he thought. The awful thought came, wait a minute,
I'm trap here. I have to listen to this terrible mono-tune before I
satisfied my tummy. He must get up and run for the door before the
food is arrived. He had no choice. Then a violinist came to his chair
and stood next to him in smiles and played same boring single tune.
Bill was totally stuck. The most awful violin sound was deafening
his ears. He tried to desensitize the surrounding. He was about yell
out "Turn off that goddamn Aye ya ya" crap will ya!!!!!!" Then thank
god, as if the god heard his prayer, the horrible sound was stop.

Thanks for your post. Mexico is a cultural and demographic Chernobyl.
